Years ago each and every school room was equipped with a chalkboard.  This meant that one unlucky student was responsible for cleaning the erasers each afternoon.  For that student they would usually return to the classroom with clean erasers but their clothing and hair filled with the residual chalk dust.

Today things are very different and many classrooms, offices and homes now have a porcelain magnetic dry erase board.  A dry erase board means no more dusty chalk to deal with.

When you use a dry erase board you’ll be amazed at how smooth the writing surface is and how easy it is to clean.  It’s really little wonder why schools are now seeing that a porcelain magnetic dry erase board is a worthwhile investment.

When a teacher uses a dry erase board he or she will find that they can use a tissue or a cloth to erase the board.  The surface cleans completely so that there aren’t any leftover markings when the teacher begins a new lesson.

A magnetic porcelain dry erase board also can be used if the teacher decides to use magnetic drawings or images as part of the lesson plan.  The magnets adhere very well to the surface and can be moved with ease.  This also works well if the teacher needs to post a note on the board.  Placing magnetic on the corners of the paper will hold it in place for the students to look at.

When using a dry erase board you’ll find that there’s a slim tray that runs the length of the board.  It’s located on the bottom of the board and can be used to store marking pens or an eraser for use on the board.

This aids the instructor in that they don’t need to constantly locate a special pen to use on the dry erase board.  Any type of marker will wipe off the board once the lesson has been taught.

You can purchase a dry erase board in several sizes depending on your preference. A large dry erase board is perfect for a typical size classroom and it affords the teacher the opportunity to write large enough that students in the farthest rows can see.

The dry erase board can also be placed at a height that will allow even small children the chance to use it.  Many teachers enjoy calling students up to practice arithmetic equations or spelling words on the board and this is not only educational it’s fun for the students as well.

A dry erase board will last for decades if it’s cleaned properly.  Most schools now realize that the old green chalkboard is a thing of the past and a dry erase board will last them well into the future.
